I am an amateur photographer. My college degrees are in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and I have spent most of my professional career in teaching, research and development. When I work in a laboratory, it never stops to amaze me how we can create so many different products by starting from simple compounds. This is one of the reasons why, while working professionally, I started to delve into photography.

As a photographer, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to push myself and put my skills to the test. I’ve worked in many different areas on a variety of projects, and have learned from some incredibly talented professionals. I love applying my creativity in new ways, and am constantly looking for new sources of inspiration. If you’d like to learn more about my work, interests, or past projects, please contact me.

Artist Statement

In my current project, Abstract Nature, I am exploring a different way to look at the world that surrounds us. There are many views in nature that are taken for granted. Usually we see the surroundings at eye level, but rarely look up or down. These are perspectives that allow us to discover new things.

I explore the natural world from an abstract perspective and combine elements of black & white and color. If we observe the world closely, we can find abstract art in many places. My objective is to reveal the beauty found in the simplest places and develop an awareness of color and shape. While some of these shapes are easily recognizable, others might not be.

I seek and explore the elements in nature, as well as textures, rhythms, and patterns. Products are generated and colors can be developed in front of your eyes. I search in nature for contrast, complementary colors, and repetitive forms. This is what I want to share with the viewing public so that they can appreciate better the world that surrounds us.
